My name is Zoie. For four years I had to endure my adoptive father’s sexual molestation. I have been denied justice by the Santa Barbara District Attorney, who despite believing that I was molested, will not charge my father because I do not have physical evidence. How are victims of sexual molestation supposed to provide evidence against our tyrants when we are too busy fearing for our lives and the lives of those we love? Speaking out is difficult enough. I want my story to be known because I want to encourage other victims to come forward and stop this abuse. Together we can help the judicial system see our need for justice, while giving us a chance to heal.
